School Council/Principal Advisory Committee
School councils are structured groups of parents, principals, teachers, secondary students and community representatives who work together to effectively support and enhance student learning. They provide a means for members of the school community to consult with and provide advice to the principal and the school board.

As of September 14, 2017, the Board of Trustees mandate the formation of a Principal Advisory Committee (PAC) in the circumstance that a School Council is unable to form, or a PAC is preferred. A PAC has the same opportunities and involvement as a school council would as per the School Act and the School Council Regulations.
